MIDDLETOWN — Joan May Huff Dennin, 66, of Middletown, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Lawrence County native was born Oct.18, 1942, the daughter of the late Arnold and Marie Boggs Huff. She is survived by her husband, Harold C. Dennin, Sr.
She attended Ironton Schools and was of the Baptist faith. She was a former head cook at the Holiday Inn in Middletown for 14 years, retiring in 1978.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sons, Jeffery Dennin, Jerome Dennin, Shawn Dennin, and Ricky Dennin.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Harold “Chuck” Dennin, Jr., of Ironton; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Carl Pennington of London, Ky., four grandchildren; two sisters: Arnella Koster and Hazel Smith, both of Ironton; and a brother, John Huff, of Ironton.
Funeral services will be 11a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
