SOUTH POINT — Helen Myers, 90, of South Point, went to be with the Lord Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at her residence.
Helen was born Aug. 6, 1918, in Lawrence County, the daughter of the late Denver G. and Anna Ruth McKee Roman.
She was a member of Solida Missionary Baptist Church and was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lloyd Myers and her brothers, Ivan L. Roman and Merlin R. Roman.
She is survived by her nieces, Donna (Orville “Sonny”) Haas, of Willow Wood, Karen (Doug) Shaffer, of South Point, Linda (Milton) Phillips, of Chesapeake, Va., Debbie (E. D.) Clem, of Hananhan, S.C.; and a nephew, Ray (Shirley) Roman, of Douglasville, Ga.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, with Pastors Jeff Huff and Aaron Childers officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at www.schneidergriffin.com.
