Mary Evelyn Sanders, 77, beloved mother, of South Point, passed away Tuesday, Nov.18, 2008.
Mary was born July 13, 1931, a daughter of the late John Maynard and Gertrude Lykins Maynard Crum. She was an active member of Finley Chapel Methodist Church of Proctorville and was a retired social worker, having served 33 years with the Ironton Lawrence County CAO.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Mary is survived by her children, Brenda LeTourneau, Grace Smith, Joyce Young, Harry Simpkins, Wayne Young, Mark Young, and Meliana Sanders; 23 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and three brothers, Okey, Raymond, and William Warden.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with the Revs. Clyde Carter and Shirley Ball officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Friends may call from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at www.schneidergriffin.com.
