Donald L.Lewis, 76, of Ironton, died in Huntington on Thursday Dec. 4, 2008. He was born in Ironton on Feb. 24, 1932, the son of the late Clifford L. Lewis and Mary F Pyles . He was preceded by his wife Diane Lewis, and one grandson, Justin Scott Carrico
A veteran of the U.S Air Force, he retired from Ironton City Schools.
Surviving include three daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Randy Elizabeth Dial of Flatwoods, Ky.; Mrs.Michael Catherine Holderby of Chesapeake and Ms. Kimberly Lewis of Flatwoods six grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Danny Lewis of South Point and one sister and brother in law, Mrs. Kenneth Ray (Rose Ann) Koerper of Coal Grove; and his special lady, Norma Bromley of Huntington, W.Va.
Graveside services will be held on at noon today at Highland Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ken Gowin Officiating
Visitation will be from 9:00 until 11:30 a.m. today at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home
V.F.W. Post 8850 will perform military rites at the cemetery
Donations are requested in memory of him to Ironton City Mission in lieu of flowers.
