Community support makes outreach possible

My name is Brenda Horan. I’m the director of Michael’s Grace Place, a food pantry and clothing closet in South Point.

We opened our doors on October 13, 2007. We provide a warm and friendly place for families who are in need. We show God’s love to over 220 families a month.

Several churches support us as part of their outreach programs. They are Tri-State Worship Center, Evangelistic Outreach, Sunrise Church of the Nazarene, Baldknob United Brethren, and Burlington Baptist Church.

Our goal is to have all the area churches helping us reach out to the less fortunate.

Several businesses have also supported us: Foodfair, Big Sandy Furniture, Valley Alternators, West End Recycling, Empire Metal, Jill’s Tumble World, Harless Towing, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Dr. Parter, Feeman Construction, Track Side Pizza, Ironton Pizza Hut, South Point Giovanni’s, Linda Weekly for donating Avon, Dollar Tree, Commercial Contruction, Tint America, Bailey Contractor, Curves, Pannara Breads, and WesBanco.

Dawson-Bryant Elementary School, Ashland Community College, and South Point High School have also donated.

Also, many community members have donated.

I just want to say, “Thanks to all of you.”

I can be contacted at 740-237-6051.
