Jo-Lin’s provides quality health care to residents

I read some disturbing news in The Ironton Tribune last week concerning the ratings of local health facilities.

In reading that report and if I put stock in everything I read in the paper, I would have jumped right out of bed at the time of reading it. I was in rehab at a local facility.

Dec. 8, 2008 I had total knee replacement. I was advised from my surgeon to stay in a rehab of my choice for 20 days.

I chose Jo-Lin Health Center to get my rehab. From the day I was admitted on Dec. 11 until only 10 days later of my early dismissal, I received quality care or far above quality care.

This goes from the top nursing staff, aides, food, housekeeping, mop boys and everyone in between. The case worker, the assessment director, activities and all. Even the painful therapist!

They gave constant care and was there when I needed them meeting my every need.

Not only me, but I witnessed how they care for each one on an individual basis down the hall from where I was as a resident.

If I could give my personal star rating from one to 50, with 50 as the best and one as the lowest, I’d have to give a 50 rating.

I came home 10 days early with no restraints and no home health. I only go three times a week to a local rehab center for treatments.

Thanks to Jo-Lin’s and all of the employees for a job well done.
