VALPARAISO, Ind. — Erma Dean Cory, 78, of Valparaiso, formerly of Avon and Hobart, Ind. passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Valparaiso.
She was born June 1, 1930, in Blackfork, Ohio, the daughter of Daniel and Sarah (Butcher) Hollback. Erma graduated from Coal Grove High School and had worked as a home care provider and was a foster parent.
Erma is survived by her daughter, Sarah Katherine (Robert) Cory of Valparaiso; a sister, Donna Grubb of Coal Grove, Ohio; one grandson, James Dean Cory and two great-grandchildren; J.D. Cory, II and Daniel Robert Cory.
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso, a graveside service will be conducted at Woodland Cemetery in Ironton, Ohio with the Rev. Rodney Adkins officiating. Moeller Funeral Homeis in charge of arrangements.
