WHEELERSBURG — Eva Jenkins Ellis, 80, of Wheelersburg, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at River Bend Assisted Living, Wheelersburg. She was born Feb. 9, 1928, in Laurel Miss., a daughter of the late Vester and Lillie Bynum Welborn.
She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, John Jenkins; her second husband, Harry Ellis; and a sister, Joyce Hilbun.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Jim Mains III of Ironton, and Becky and Barry Darden of Houston; three grandchildren, J.J. Mains IV of Charlotte, N.C., and Melissa Darden and Tyler Darden, both of Houston; and a sister, Nobia McCumber of Jacksonville, Fla.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 3100 Audubon Drive, Laurel, Miss. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery, Laurel. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Memory Chapel. Local arrangements are by Tracy Brammer Funeral Home.
