FLATWOODS, Ky. —Ability! Winter Guard, a in Flatwoods, Ky.-based performance group is gearing up for a new season.

The 2009 performance is entitled, “Those Summer Nights.” Members of Ability! Winter Guard range in age from 12 to 22 and come from the Tri-State area of northeastern Kentucky, southeastern Ohio & western West Virginia.

Winter guard has 15 members is a competitive indoor performance art which incorporates dance with colorful flags, performance rifles and sabers. The shows are choreographed to recorded music and performed in gymnasiums and other large arenas.

Ability! is entering its third year of competition. Members will compete in the Mid-East Performance Association, the Ohio Indoor Performance Association and Winter Guard International.
