The Coal Grove Hornets had four players in double figures and eight different players scored as they beat the Green Bobcats 67-46 Saturday night.

Devin Monnier scored 16 points and Evan Ferguson 15 to lead the Hornets offense. Wayne Sparks had 12 points and Cody Damron came off the bench to score 11.

Ferguson, Sparks and Dane Haukedahl had five rebounds each while Sparks had four steals and Damron and Eric Edens three each. Edens also had six assists.

Matt Clarke scored 18 points and Dustin Stapleton 10 for the Bobcats.

Sparks had six points in the first quarter as Coal Grove (6-6) took a 13-10 lead.

The Hornets pulled away to a 28-15 halftime lead and Edens got five of his seven points in the third quarter as the spread grew to 45-28.

Ferguson had eight of his points in the fourth quarter.
