CHARLES ROBINSON

Charles Edward Robinson, 67, of Ironton, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Scioto County native was born Jan. 30, 1941, the son of the late Albert and Clara Wheeler Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Shope Robinson, whom he married May 9, 1989.
He was a graduate of Green High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a former machinist at the Ironton Machine Shop where he was employed for 14 years. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Estel Robinson, Phillip Robinson and Paul David Robinson.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a daughter and her companion, Karen Robinson and Terry Summers of Pedro; a son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Dannette Robinson of Ironton; a step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Ralph and Martina Wilson of Hanging Rock; eight grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Paul Stapleton of Franklin Furnace; two special aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Musser officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
