Once the Green Lady Bobcats got started, they couldn’t stop.

The Lady Bobcats had trouble scoring to start the game but turned it on and beat the Western Lady Indians 50-39 Tuesday in a Southern Ohio Conference game.

“We got off to a shaky start offensively, but we turned it on and played well the rest of the way through,” said Green coach Dale Royse.

Green led 10-4 at the end of the first quarter. Ashlee Runyon then got going and scored 10 points including a trey while Adrianne Blankenship scored seven more as the Lady Bobcats pulled away to a 29-11 halftime lead.

Green (9-5, 7-3 SOC) was led by Blankenship with 17 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and three steals. Runyon led all scorers with 18 points while Breanna Johnson added nine points and eight rebounds.

The two teams play against Thursday at Western.
