HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Carl E. Scarberry, 63, of Huntington, formerly of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away at Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Carl was born Oct.18, 1945, son of the late Carl Scarberry and Mary Louisa Staly. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Ray and Roger Scarberry; and one daughter, Michelle Henson.
Carl leaves behind two sons, Robert E. Scarberry of Chesapeake, Ohio and Billy Scarberry of Huntington; one stepson, Craig Henson of Huntington; two daughters, Lorrie Stevens of Chesapeake, and Pamela King of Huntington; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a very special granddaughter, Laura King of St. Louis and a great-granddaughter, Laura; a stepmother, Charlotte Scarberry of Chesapeake; three brothers, Hughie Scarberry of Charleston, W.Va., Lee Scarberry of Huntington, and Joe Scarberry of Chesapeake; four sisters, Brenda Ritchie and Edna Danford, both of Chesapeake, and Ruby McCutcheon and Mary Ann Simmon, both of Charleston.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Black officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio.Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio.
