SOUTH POINT — Sue Ann Sinozich Torlone, 75, of South Point, passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at her residence.
She was born June 15, 1933, in Logan, W.Va., a daughter of the late Robert and Nellie Floyd Stone. Sue was a dedicated music teacher for 40-years in South Point. She also had a love of theater.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, James Stone.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Alfred Torlone, whom she married in 2000; seven children, Cathy (Greg) McKnight, of Independence, Ky., Tony Sinozich, of Grove City, Michael Sinozich, of South Point, Patrick Sinozich, of Chicago, Ill., Frances (Mitch) Robinson, of Erlanger, Ky., Andy (Francine) Sinozich, of Rock Hill, S.C., Sally (Doug) Biddle, of Mt. Vernon, Sidney Torlone, and Lindsey Torlone; her sisters, Peggy Hirosky, of Logan, W.Va., and Sandra Stone, of Huntington, W.Va.; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Moran, celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Ironton. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
