Danny Ray White, 54, of Tennessee, formerly of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009.
He was born Nov. 29, 1954, the son of the late Glenn and Cora Chapman White. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Dree White, whom he married Dec. 2, 1972.
He attended Coal Grove schools and served in the military. He was once owner of Rose Street Auto Parts in Portsmouth, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn Jr., Ronnie and Glenn Joseph White; and four sisters, Joyce Sherman, Saundra Dean, Patricia Kay and Willa Mae White.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Paul Gross, of Lexington; and DeeDee and Doug Jenkins, of Coal Grove; a son, Danny White Jr., of Lexington, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Jessica Stapleton, who is expecting Danny’s first great-grandchild, Aaron, Doug Jr., Brad, Brandi and Harley Jenkins, Austin and Jordan Gross; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Marsha and Dave Neal, Janet Carter, Penny Runyon of Ironton; Naomi and Larry Utley of South Point; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Fred White of Ironton; and Larry and Tammy White of Gahanna; five step-sisters, Barbara Clark, Loretta Evans, Glenna Webb, Kathy Carper, Pauline White; and two step-brothers, Teddy and Jimmy White, all of Kentucky.
