Jeffrey Lynn Bowles, 51, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at Ohio Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky.
The Ironton native was born Jan. 7, 1958, the son of the late Fred James and Betty Jean Dennin Bowles.
Mr. Bowles was a graduate of Ironton High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He was of the Nazarene faith and enjoyed carpentry.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an aunt, Juanita “Bonnie” Aldridge; paternal grandparents, Fred Sr. and Lillian Huff Bowles and maternal grandparents, Clyde and Marie Dennin.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Ramona Bowles of South Point; a sister, Elizabeth Bowles of Ironton; a brother, Mark Bowles of Texas City, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Rose Marie Bowles of Katy, Texas; a niece, Kimberly Lynd of Ironton; a
great niece, Hannah Lynd of Ironton; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and a special friend, Lonnie Hapney of Ironton.
Funeral services will be 1p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from noon-1 p.m. at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 8850. Pallbearers will be Robert Bowles II, Christopher Michael Bowles, George Pierson, John Larsen, Ronald McCabe, and Ronnie McCabe.
