Man arrested for break-ins

The investigation into recent break-ins in the Coal Grove and Ironton areas has netted two arrests, Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless said.
James Jordan, 29, of 125 Township Road 321, Ironton, was charged with six counts of breaking and entering and six counts of theft. Shaun Banfield, 29, of 3424 State Route 243, Ironton, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
Sheriff’s detectives had been investigating a series of break-ins involving residential garages, businesses and even a church from which numerous items were taken. Lawless said more than $20,000 in items has been recovered from individuals and pawnshops.
