Jeeps rout Lady ‘Cats

A 39-24 loss on Thursday left Green coach Dale Royse upset.

But a lopsided 66-36 loss on Saturday to the South Webster Jeeps didn’t have the same sting.

“The score wasn’t that close, but we played better than the last game,” said Royse. “We’ve had some illness that took its toll on us, but South Webster is a nice team.”

Adrianne Blankenship led Green with 19 points and 10 rebounds despite battling the effects of the flu.

South Webster was led by Kayla Cook with 22 points in less than three quarters. She now has 1,398 points and surpassed Brooke Hughes as the girls’ all-time leading scorer.
