Ethel Moore, 94, of Ironton, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Jo Lin Health Care Center.
She was born Jan. 20, 1915, in Lawrence County, Ky., a daughter of the late James and Mary Rowe Butler.
She was a homemaker. She attended the Jeffersonville Missionary Baptist Church in Coal Grove.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Moore, who died in August 1977; a grandson, Freddie Moore and three step-sons, Lester, Roy and Leonard Moore.
She is survived by a stepson, Wilson (Alene) Moore of Ironton, a daughter-in-law, Connie Moore of Coal Grove nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
