JOHN ALDRIDGE

PEDRO — John F. Aldridge, 62, of Pedro, Ohio passed away Monday, February 16, 2009 at Hospice of Huntington. The Superior, Ohio native was born June 16, 1946, the son of the late Frank and Margaret Henry Aldridge.
Mr. Aldridge attended Pedro schools, was a U.S. Army Veteran serving 2 tours in Vietnam. He was a former truck driver for five years and a member of the Symmes Valley Freewill Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Isaac Walton Lake Associating and the VFW Post 8850.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Fredrick Aldridge Jr.; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Bernard Wallace; and a brother, Bob Miller.
He is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and David Litell of Marion, Traci and Larry Knipp, Lisa and Phillip Lewis and Brianna Aldridge, all of Pedro; a son, Scott Aldridge of Pedro; granddaughters, Ayla Marie Knipp, Santanna Lewis, Selena “Windy” Lewis, all of Pedro, and Miranda Litell of Marion; a grandson, Phillip “J.R.” Lewis of Pedro; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Brian Aldridge of Wheelersburg, Brent and Lisa Aldridge of Athens, and Otis “Sonny” and Tammy Aldridge of Athalia; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Nancy and Lowell “Butch” Stamper, Faye Kidd all of Pedro, Becky and Neal Snowden of Wadsworth, and Frankie and John White of Kitts Hill and Kathy Miller of Wheelersburg; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Miller of Pedro; and several nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, with Rev. Randy Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Furnace Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8P.M. at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
