PROCTORVILLE — Annie G. Halleck, 83, of Proctorville, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at St. Mary’s Medical in Huntington, W.Va.
She was born Oct. 9, 1925, daughter of the late James and Anise Hardy Elkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Halleck, who passed away in 2001.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Martha Pine, Emogene Shepherd, Helen Smith, and Dorothy Elkins and two brothers, Wayne Elkins and Corbett Elkins.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Sue Halleck of South Point; and a daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Roger Porter of Mims, Fla.; her grandchildren, Jamey (Tricia) Halleck and Allen Halleck of South Point, Sonja (Bill) Wiles, Tonja (Jason) Tucker, Tammy (Josh) Little of Florida; her great grandchildren, Colten Halleck of South Point and Joshua Little, Alexis Wiles, Anna Arthur and Kaylee Little of Florida; one sister, Lillie Elkins Stapleton of Proctorville; two sisters-in-law, Betty (Dow) Dempsey and Fleta (Armanas) Perry; and many precious nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Salmons officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
