BETTY CRONACHER

Betty June Cronacher, 80, of Ironton, died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at her home. She was born June 30, 1928, in Ironton, a daughter of the late Ira Paul and the late Nannie Thomas Smith.
She was a housewife and page for the United Commercial Travelers. She formerly worked for the Lawrence County General Hospital, attended the Trinity Assembly God Church in Coal Grove, was a radio operator in civil defense and was a member of the UCT. She was in the graduating class of 1946 of Ironton High School.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Layne and Letha Boone; and three brothers, Clifford Smith, Harold Smith and Charles Paul.
Surviving are her husband, Charles S. Cronacher; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Connie Cronacher of Ironton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy and Stephen Wiseman of Pedro and Mary Y Cronacher of Ironton; six grandchildren, Matthew (Cindy) Wiseman, Heath Wiseman, Ali (Patrick) Webb, Andrew Cronacher, Emily Cronacher and Hannah Cronacher; and a sister, Anne Hayes of Cincinnati.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
