RUSSELL, Ky. — The Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital (OLBH) Auxiliary raised $125,000 from its 2008 activities. During a March 10 ceremony, the auxiliary presented OLBH officials with $76,500 to benefit hospital programs.
Monies donated by the auxiliary benefited: Women’s Health Fund, Jonathan Ferguson Fund, LifeLine, upgrades to the Human Motion Vitality Center pool, River Cities Harvest, the OLBH Emergency Room, room renovations on the hospital’s second floor, and a variety of other hospital programs.
“The OLBH Auxiliary are loyal supporters of this hospital,” Luann Serey, OLBH director of Community Services, said. “The money raised by the auxiliary and then donated to benefit OLBH come from the proceeds of various sales, the annual hospital golf benefit and the operation of the hospital gift shop. Much tireless work was done to raise such an amount of money. I thank these dedicated individuals for all they give to the hospital. OLBH would certainly not be the same without such a committed group.”
