ASHLAND, Ky. — Betty Jarvis, 77, of Ashland, died Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Jo-Lin Nursing Facility, Ironton. She was born Oct. 14, 1931, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Raymond L. and Sarah Tackett Fraley.
She was retired from the Social Security Office in Ashland and a member of Worldwide Church of God.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Marsha Jarvis of Greenup, Ky., and Roger and Billie Jarvis of Ironton; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina Jarvis and Randy Karnes of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Kitty Kouns and Roberta and Gennis Tipton, both of Ashland; grandchildren, William Scott Jarvis, Hilah Jarvis Webb, Valerie Cordle, Scott Hosey, Erica Morgan, Anthony Karnes and Andrew Hart; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Griffith, Abby Cordle, Tyler Hosey, Stephanie Morgan, Dallas Morgan, Cameron Webb, Brandon Webb, Landon Hart, Kayleigh Potter and Aiden Jarvis.
Funeral will be at noon Tuesday at Steen Funeral Home, Central Avenue Chapel, Ashland. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation is 11 a.m. until service time.
