ASHLAND, Ky. — The grand opening of the two Ashland Boyd County Disc Golf Courses will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Boyd County’s Armco Park, just off U.S. 60 in Summit.

“When we began this project, I had no idea it would happen this quickly,” said Tim Huff, the golf course organizer. “The area is very fortunate that the Boyd County Fiscal Court is so supportive of such a fun and healthy activity for the community.”

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. Free golf discs will be given away while supplies last. A free doubles golf tournament, pairing beginners with experienced disc golfers will begin at 2 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 teams at the conclusion of the tournament.
