Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate a weekend robbery of the Strobel’s BP gas and convenience store on State Route 141.

At 9:30 a.m. Sunday, a white male between 5’ 9’’ to 6-foot entered the station, according to Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless.

The man was wearing a mask and had on gloves.

“He demanded money and indicated he had a gun, though no gun was produced or seen,” Lawless said. “He did obtain a small amount of cash and fled the gas station in a small, black car.”

There was no information on the make or model of the car. The man was last seen driving north on State Route 141 and was last seen on County Road 5.

That station is located at 5197 State Route 141. There have been break-ins there in the past but no robberies, the sheriff said.

Anyone with any information should contact the LCSO.

“A lot of times someone will have heard someone speaking about it and will tip us off,” Lawless said.
