TAMPA, Fla. — Charlene “Eppie” Robinson, 75, went to be with Jesus on Good Friday, April 10, 2009, after a long illness in a Tampa, Fla., hospice center.
She was born in Ironton, Dec. 18, 1933, a daughter of the late George W. (Wash) Payne and Bertha Leach Payne.
She was a 1951 graduate of Ironton High School and worked for several years in the Lawrence County Clerk of Courts office. She retired from First Florida Bank in Tampa.
She is survived by a son and two daughters, Dale Robinson, Linda Campbell and Joyce Bruce, all of the Tampa area; and two brothers, Charles “Butch” Payne of Henderson, Nev., and George Payne of Ironton.
Interment will be in the Military Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Fla., alongside her late husband, James “Tom” Robinson.
