HAVERHILL — It’s feast or famine for the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ offense.

On Wednesday, Ironton smashed out 13 hits to back the pitching of Kylie Summers as the Lady Tigers routed the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers 23-4 in five innings.

But on Monday, Ironton managed only two hits in a 10-0 loss to the Gallipolis Blue Angels.

Ironton pitcher Karlie Collins allowed just five hits in taking the loss. She struck out six and walked five. Gallipolis’ Amy Noe struck out nine and did not issue a walk to get the win.

Collins had a big game against Chillicothe as she went 2-3 with a home run. Nikki Elswick was 2-2 with two doubles and Jordan Scott had a double.

Jessica Brown, Janie Morris and Emily Lilly were all 2-4.

The Lady Tigers used a 12-run third inning to break open the game.

In the loss to Gallipolis, Elswick and Scott each singled for the only Ironton hits.

Ironton will host four straight games at the Dow Chemical Field. The Lady Tigers play South Webster on Tuesday, Portsmouth on Wednesday, Fairland on Thursday and South Point on Friday.

All games begin at 5 p.m.
