An early morning fire destroyed the upstairs of a two-story frame house at 631 S. 5th St. Ironton Fire Department got the call at 3:35 a.m. and was at the scene until 6:06 a.m. There were no injuries or pets lost. The owner of the house is Rick Taylor who was at home at time. The fire appears to have started in the upstairs bedroom and is still under investigation. Siding on the house next door at 627 S. Fifth St. was scorched.
