SOUTH POINT — The alarm clock finally went off in the Chesapeake bat bag.

Chesapeake go 10 hits as the Panthers held off the South Point Pointers 8-7 Thursday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

‘Our bats came alive a little bit,” said Panthers’ coach Joe Waugh. “We made some crucial errors at the end to let them back in it, but we made some plays we needed to get out with a win. And they hit the ball pretty well.”
