COAL GROVE — Linda Lee Bazell, 65, of Coal Grove, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Ashland, Ky. native was born April 5, 1944, the daughter of the late James and Ruby Johnson Leibee. She is survived by her husband, Donald W. Bazell, whom she married April 29, 1960.
Mrs. Bazell was a graduate of Ashland City Schools. She was a former librarian for the Boyd County Library and a member of the Zoar Baptist Church in Coal Grove.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Lisa Leibee Arrington.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, James David Bazell and Donald Keith Bazell both of Coal Grove; a daughter, Cherie Lynn Pritchard of Deering; two brothers, Paul Leibee of Louisa, Ky., and James Ronald Leibee of Ashland, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Shayne Pritchard, April Pritchard Pemberton, Renee Bazell, Eric Bazell, Brandon Bazell, Amber Bazell, Rachel Bazell, and Debra Bazell; and seven great grandchildren, Devyn Pritchard, Casey Pemberton, Dylan French, Tyera Pemberton, Abby French, Nathan McDade, and Allana Pemberton
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, with Dr. Kevin Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Brandon Bazell, Eric Bazell, Shayne Pritchard, Shane Pemberton, Renee Bazell, Mike Deborde, and Ron Ratliff.
