KDMC offers women’s personal safety seminar

ASHLAND Ky. — A Women’s Personal Safety Seminar is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, at the King’s Daughters Medical Center (KDMC) Health Education Center Auditorium (lower level of the Lexington Avenue parking facility, 2201 Lexington Ave.).
The free event is sponsored by KDMC and instructors are Scott Hill, KDMC director of Safety and Security; Tim and Tiffany Clark, owners/instructors at Tim Clark Karate Studio. Reservations are recommended by calling 1-888-377-KDMC.
This training is recommended for all women, ages 13 and older, especially business women who travel, for church groups, and high school and college students commuting to and from school.
The course lasts approximately two hours and includes lectures and demonstrations covering:
Safety while traveling
Personal security
De-escalation techniques
Self-defense techniques
