WHEELERSBURG – Clyde Raymond Butler, 68 of Wheelersburg died Friday, May 8, 2009, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice.
He was born Feb. 10, 1941 in Scioto County to the late Walter and Agnes “Williams” Butler. He was retired from the City of Portsmouth Service Department and a member of Truth Tabernacle in Wheelersburg.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda “Moore” Butler, whom he married March 1, 1966 in Portsmouth; a son, Michael Butler of Marysville, Ohio; a sister, Marilyn Damron and two grandsons, Mark and Toby Butler.
Besides his parents, a sister, Deloris Butler, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Truth Tabernacle in Wheelersburg with the Reverend Robert Davis officiating. Burial will be in Worley’s Run in Friendship, Ohio.
Friends may call Monday, May 11, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg and one hour before the service at the church.
