Marianne “Sissy” Thimmes Crance, 54, died on Thursday, May 7, 2009, surrounded by her family and friends in Ironton, after an extended illness.
Born Nov.16, 1954 in Portsmouth, she was the daughter of the late Walter F. Thimmes and Betty Downing Thimmes Guthrie of Ironton.
She was preceded by her daughter, Ashley Catherine Crance and a one brother, Gary Thimmes.
She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church. She worked as teller at the Citizens Bank and was a homemaker and worked in administration for Fed Ex.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ryan and Sara Crance of Gilbert, Ariz., and Matthew and Elizabeth Crance of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren, Austin Carlee Crance of Gilbert, and Bela Elizabeth Crance and Reese Catino Crance, of Colorado Springs and one brother Mark Thimmes of Dover, Del.; and Rick Crance of Ironton.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at St Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. David Huffman officiating. Donations are requested in Marianne’s memory to Ashland Community Hospice 2330 Pollard Road, Ashland, Ky., 41101 Saint Joseph Catholic Church 905 S. O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
