HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — When Mark Snyder was hired at Marshall University, his job was to restore winning and discipline. Snyder won’t compromise one for the other.

Marshall landed a prize football recruit with the signing of quarterback A.J. Graham, the 2008 Florida Player of the Year. But Snyder gave Graham his release on Wednesday after the standout player was arrested Tuesday and charged with armed robbery.

“Due to the situation, I have decided to release A.J. from his scholarship,” said Snyder.
