Ironton youth wins pizza party from Marshall basketball program

HUNTINGTON, W. Va.– More than 650 area youth sports players and coaches completed entry forms at local Little Caesars restaurants for the change to win a Little Caesars pizza party with coaches and players from the Marshall University Basketball team.

The winning entry was submitted by Marcus Daniels, a 9-year-old member of the Ironton Eagles youth basketball team, at the Ironton Little Caesars location. Daniels and his teammates from the Ironton Eagles youth basketball team had the opportunity to meet players and coaches from the

Marshall basketball team during their party on Thursday.

“I feel really lucky, I never thought I would be sitting here with the Marshall basketball team,” said Marcus Daniels, winner of the party.

“It was really cool to meet the players, talk to the coaches and get to shoot with them on the court.”

Little Caesars is actively involved in the community and takes a special interest in programs involving youth sports.

“At Little Caesars we believe that participation in youth sports teaches children life principles such as teamwork and accountability which transcend the playing field and help them develop into well-rounded individuals.” said Vicki Marshall, local Little Caesars’ franchise owner.
