The Tri-State Junior Golf Tour is back in the swing of things.
The annual youth golf tournaments get underway on Thursday at Riviera Country Club with the first of seven stops.
Registration deadline for this week’s tournament is Tuesday. Golfers should contact Riviera Country Club or TSJGT director Tyson Phillips at (740) 352-2286.
“We’re hoping to get more kids out. This gets them ready to play at the high school level,” said Phillips.
Three of the age groups are 10-12, 13-15 and 16-18. The younger group plays nine holes and the two older groups play 18. Divisions will have flights to keep the skill levels close to the same.
Fees are $28 for nine hole events and $35 for the older groups. Lunch is included.
Phillips is adding a fourth division for players 9-and-under. The new group with playing two tournaments that will consists of four or five holds. Adults will be permitted to supervise groups.
