3 local players voted All-Ohio

Being on the first team was a first for the St. Joseph Flyers.

Senior pitcher Caleb Blackburn was named to the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Division IV All-Ohio baseball team, the first Flyers’ player to earn such an honor.

Blackburn wasn’t alone on the All-Ohio team. Teammate Chad Harvey, a senior shortstop, was selected to the Division IV second team by the coaches.

Honored on the Division III All-Ohio team was Coal Grove junior outfielder Daniel “Oakie” Haynes who was also named to the first unit.

Others pitchers named to the Div. IV first team were Mike Radvansky of Toronto and Michael Hamann of Danbury.

Radvansky was voted the Player of the Year and Brian Perkins of Toronto the top coach.

In Division III, Hamilton Badin pitcher Brett McKinney and coach Rick Kunkel took the individual honors.
