Five Ironton High School runners came away with awards at the annual East Greenup County (Ky.) Kiwanis Club Run by the River 5K and 10K races on Saturday.

Pierce Reeves, led the way for the group as he won the 5K race. Teammate Gary Monroe was third in the race and Levi Runyon finished seventh. Adam Stumbo ran in the 10K race and finished fourth overall and first in the 15-19 age group.

The lone female runner from the Ironton team was Colleen Walker who won the girls’ 15-19 age division and had the second-best time overall for the women in the 5K race.
