Ralph Walter “Motor” Burke, 45, of Ironton, died Friday, June 12, 2009, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
He was born Dec. 28, 1963, in Lawrence County, son of the late Ralph Wilcox and Minnie Piquet.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bryce Dillon Burke and two sisters, Kathy Burke and Linda Hale.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie Jo Burke; four daughters, Amanda Dawn Waddle, Samantha Lee Dixon, Rena Swab and Kayla Marie Burke, all of Ironton; a sister, Margie Price, of Sciotoville; three brothers, David Burke of Ironton, Tim Burke of Cummings, Ga., and P.J. Burke of Portsmouth and seven grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, Ky., with Dr. Tom Melvin officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Wheelersburg. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
