JOHNNY SPARKS

SOUTH WEBSTER — Johnny Sparks, 74, of South Webster, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.
The Prestonsburg, Ky. native was born Dec. 21, 1934, the son of the late Elisha and Nora Adams Sparks. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Swinford Sparks.
Mr. Sparks attended Bartles School in Pedro, was a former coal miner for the Southern Ohio Coal Co. and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Johnny Ray Sparks; three brothers, Woodrow Sparks, James Sparks, and Wornie Sparks; and two sisters, Haley Sizemore and Mary Mure.
He is survived by a son, Billy Ray Sparks of Wellston; two daughters, Patricia Lynn Martin of Wellston and Josephine Morris of Ironton; three sisters, Gladys Giles of South Webster, Alki Corbin of Marion and Roxie Stiltner of Sciotoville; seven grandchildren; and great grandchildren
