Anne J. Parnell, 82, of Ironton, passed away Friday, July 3, 2009, at Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods, Ky.
The Lawrence County native was born Sept. 7, 1926, the daughter of the late Donald and Alma Thuma Hurn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Parnell.
Mrs. Parnell was a graduate of Ironton High School and a former bank teller at First National Bank in Ironton. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and lived all her life in the area.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Michael Citti of Ironton; a granddaughter and her husband, Alison and Jim Aiello of Columbus; a grandson and his wife, Brian and Talley Citti of Huntington, W.Va.; a great-grandson, Chase Brian Citti; one special niece, Sharon Cramblit along with several other nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 11a.m. Monday at Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. Jan Williams officiating. There will be no public visitation.
