WHEELERSBURG — Frances Marie Boyce, 79, of Wheelersburg, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
The Lawrence County native was born Oct. 4, 1929, the daughter of the late Willard Sr. and Dove Justice Gore.
Mrs. Boyce was a graduate of Rock Hill High School, a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Willard Gore, Jr., Robert Lee Gore, and an infant brother and an infant son.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and Bob Marsh of Wheelersburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sharon Doolin of Wheelersburg; a
daughter and son-in-law, Sharri and Andrew Moose of Marion; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Wilma Gore of West Portsmouth, Clifford and Donna Mae Gore of Pedro, and John and Eva Mae Gore of Newark; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty Jo Spurlock Evans of Marion, Ione Malone of Pedro, and Emma Jean and John Scott of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Eileen Gore of North Baltimore, Ohio; a special friend, Lawrence Robert Mudd of Alexandria, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Revs. James Gore and Clifford Gore officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Chapel Cemetery.
