COAL GROVE — After heavy rains in the morning and two afternoon showers last Friday forced the postponement of the Third Annual Engines 50 to July 31, the Rocky Top Raceway is preparing for “Coal Grove Pharmacy Fan Appreciation Night” this Friday.

Fan Appreciation Night is always one of the most anticipated races of the season with several giveaways and a chance for fans to become involved in the races.

With sponsorship from the Coal Grove Pharmacy, this year’s Fan Appreciation Night proves to be the best one yet as Modifieds will race for $1,000 to win and Bombers for $500 to win. Late Models and Mod Lites will also be on the card racing for regular purses.

Four lucky race fans in attendance on Friday will get a unique experience. Fans will be chosen to be the grand marshal for one of the four feature races.

The grand marshal will have the feature race named after them, get to throw the green flag to start the feature, and get to go down to victory lane and have their picture taken with the feature winner.

The winners will be chosen by their general admission ticket stubs. There will also be several giveaways including something for every child in attendance.

General admission is $12 for adults, $2 for youth ages 7-12, and kids under six are free.

Pit passes are $25. Gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps starting the nights action at 7:30. For more information visit the website at:
