SOUTH POINT — Talmage “Tom” Gibson, 59, of South Point, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2009, from St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
Tom was born on Feb.21, 1950, in Ironton, a son of Burley Joe Gibson and the late Bobbie S. Rice Gibson. After a tour in the Air Force, he worked for Steel of West Virginia for 32-years, and a proud member of the 1969 graduating class from South Point High School.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife KoKo Gibson of South Point; a daughter, Angie Jackson of South Point; his grandchildren, Dustin and Joey Jackson; a sister, Teresa (John) Orta of South Point; brothers, Tony (Teresa) Gibson of New Bern, N.C. and Terry (Linda) Gibson of South Point and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at www.schneidergriffin.com.
