PAULINE FOLSOM

Pauline J. Folsom, 88, of Ironton passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
She was born April 2, 1921 in Hodgen, Maine; the daughter of the late Wilbur and Myra Brackett Stewart.
She was retired from the F.W. Woolworth Stores with over twenty years service. She graduated in 1938 from Houlton High School in Maine and was of the Protestant faith. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post Houlton, Maine and she had lived most of her life in Maine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Donald Folsom, a daughter, Betty Markey; two brothers, Raymond Stewart and Gene Stewart; two sisters, Dorothy Friel and Edna Gildred and a grandson, Stephan Folsom.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Lacey Lucas of Ironton; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Karen Folsom of Ludlow, Maine; seven grandchildren, Chris Markey, Laurie Markey, Paul Markey, Sherry Watson, Lisa Lucas, Danny Folsom and Kelly York; nine great-grandchildren, Corey Markey, Jenny Markey, Adam McDonald, Meghan Christian, Andrew Christian, Matthew Kirkland, Hannah Boone, Maren York and Christopher Folsom; five great great-grandchildren, Taylor McCardle, Brianna McCardle, Hallie Markey, Kieley Markey and Brandon Dickison and a daughter-in-law, Regina Folsom.
Funeral service is noon today at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Lovejoy officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
