Trophies will be presented to the top male and female finishers as well as medals to the remaining top three finishers in each division (regardless of gender.) Divisions are under 29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69 along with 70 and up.

Entry fee is $20 and checks should be made out to Ironton Band Boosters. The first 100 entries will receive a free T-shirt.

The race begins next to Ironton High School on Ellison Avenue and will continue on pavement through the streets of Ironton, ending at Ironton High School.

The “Ironton Band 5K run for the Ro-Na” is a fundraiser to benefit the Ironton Million Dollar Band as well as the reconstruction efforts for the historic, vaudeville-style Ro-Na Theatre.

The theater is currently looking to raise nearly $200,000 to offset costs of replacing the roof and decking on the theater. The city of Ironton owns the Ro-Na and had verbally committed monies from its Debt Retirement Sinking Fund to pay for Phase One of the three phase rehabilitation effort.

Also Saturday, the Ironton Band Boosters will present its Family Fun Day at the Conley Center with its Classic Car Cruise-In.

The fundraiser, which has cars arriving at noon, will benefit the Ironton Million Dollar Band’s efforts to purchase new equipment and to represent the city of Ironton and the entire Tri-State area at the 2010 St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City.

The public is welcome to arrive at 12:30 p.m.

Registration is $5 and all classic vehicles are welcome. The first 25 entries will receive a dashboard plaque.

Also available during the cruise-in is food, music, a Cornhole tournament and inflatables and games for the kids.
