SOUTH BEND — A quick start meant an early finish.

The Ohio Senior League Girls All-Stars took a big lead early and coasted to a 12-2 win in just six innings over Iowa on Tuesday and earned a berth in the Central Region semifinals.

“Our girls jumped out to a five-run lead and it was over from there. (Karlie) Collins pitched a good game and we played good defense behind her,” said Ohio coach Ron Estep.
