Stimulus is only a drop in the economic bucket

The money approved for infrastructure work in this country is only a drop in the bucket.

Much, much more money will need to be spent in the near future to solve the problems that are starting to show up all across the country.

I recently viewed a program that outlined some of the problems that are just beginning to occur. Roads and bridges that are falling apart.

Water and sewer systems that are failing. A power grid that will soon be very overloaded. Millions of schools will need to be replaced. Millions of public buildings, such as court houses, will need to be replaced.

No matter which side of the political spectrum you support, these problems, which many are just now coming to light, must be fixed.

The people of this country will expect no less. The price tag will be enormous and the people will have no choice but to pay it.

Our country needs a major rebuilding, putting the improvements off will only make the problems worse and more expensive. Ours is a great country, now is the time for us to show the world how great we can be.
