Three men accused of beating and robbing a pizza delivery man and a man accused of trying to steal a television from an Ironton store were among those arraigned Thursday in Ironton Municipal Court.

Randall Bryan, 22, of Raceland, Ky., Christopher Bryan, 19, of 1023 S. Sixth St., Ironton, and Todd Lesniak, 26, of Ashland, Ky., are all charged with first-degree aggravated robbery in connection with the Tuesday night assault on a Giovanni’s pizza delivery man.

“There was a bogus phone call made and when the delivery man got there, one jumped him from behind and the other two assaulted him also,” Ironton Police Detective, Capt. Chris Bowman said. A witness gave police information that led to the three suspects who were reportedly located together at Christopher Bryan’s Sixth Street residence. They were all arrested and taken to the Lawrence County Jail.

“We searched the house and found evidence to support their involvement in it,” Bowman said. What he did not find, Bowman said, was any show of concern for the victim from the men who allegedly assaulted him.

“They were just evil,” Bowman said. “I don’t know what more I could say. They showed no remorse.”

The victim was bruised but did not seek medical treatment for his injuries, Bowman said.

All three men must return to court this week for preliminary hearings before Judge O. Clark Collins.

On Wednesday night, officers were called to Iron City Hardware at 116 S. Third St., after someone broke a window and snatched a television set.

They reportedly found the TV in a nearby car and arrested Michael Smith, 52, of 999 Coal Bank Hollow, Ironton, less than an hour later.

Smith was charged with breaking and entering and taken to jail. He must also return to municipal court Thursday for a preliminary hearing.
